Pillows - Fab Four

Lois Butler - Saturday, October 31, 2015

Pillows have to be one of my favourite ways to create a quick change so today I thought I would showcase these four fabulous designs.  Each is a generous 20 x 20 with a feather/down insert and a zipper closure.  They are made in Canada and represent excellent value priced between 44.95 to 59.95.

Solids or prints, squares or lumbars, we have an excellent range of products.

Fall Preview

Lois Butler - Sunday, August 23, 2015

When the weather gets a little crisper and it's time for back to school, it's a sure sign of ... dare I say it - FALL!  Inside our decor begins to switch over too.  Subtle changes occur but our love of colour does not need to depart with the seasonal switch.

Enjoy the soft velvet touch of this rich purple pillow and throw.  It's like getting out your favourite cosy sweater to wrap up in.

Always a regal and inviting influence on a room, it can add that missing element to complete your space.  I'm always surprised and delighted to see how deep plum tones in other accessories are brought to life with a touch of purple.

Another approach is too go graphic.  Replace a lighter or more floral design with this black and grey shot of luxury.

Play on the harvest of fall colours with this combo.

The print, which is great on its own, gets a fresher look when combined with a citrus linen pillow.  Seasonally, you might think of the green pillow as more suited to spring or summer, but the combo gives a fresh look to neutral backgrounds like the beige and brown tones - colours many people are very comfortable with.

Give your home a little love this fall with a new look.  See quick shots of pillows from around the store below and even more pillows here.

Linen Love Seat

Lois Butler - Sunday, October 19, 2014

Have you had a chance to see our window display this week?  We are all crushing on this grey linen love seat.

This vignette showcases a bold blend of luxe and eclectic furniture.  With an inspiring palette of navy, grey, white and weathered wood, it is polished with additions of warm brass tones in side tables and decor items.  Housed on the matching stools are nature inspired trays from Beatriz Ball.
Pure glam!

Use these elements to get the look.

We also have readymade linen napkins and table runners in grey and natural so you can carry this great look right into your dining room. The FaAB drapery panel used in the display is a custom order with 100's of fabrics and styles to choose from.

Setting the Look

Lois Butler - Tuesday, July 29, 2014
Beautiful elements always combine to make a great look.

Whether you want to host a brunch in the sun room,  enjoy a cosy cup of coffee in the kitchen, or sip wine at an elegant dinner party, we can help you achieve your look.

This handsome table gets a twist with chairs and benches.   Accents in mustard are evident in chairs, pillows, lanterns and vases.

This eye-catching 51" round mirror reflects charm and good design as well as lots of light.  Such a chic touch!

Pairing vibrant colour with weathered details and sleek silhouettes, creates a look with an eclectic and contemporary flair.

Colour Flow

Lois Butler - Thursday, June 27, 2013
If you are like me then a lot of your decor projects are continuous starts and stops. Our lives get so busy that we start to freshen up our homes and then life gets in the way. It can be a while before we get back to finishing it. In between the initial start and the restart quite often our plans change. A new trend emerges; there's a new colour we love.

Yesterday I read an interesting tip on keeping the flow going from room to room in your home. Start in your living room and once you have completed this room the rest of the house takes its colours from what you have done there. Six months later when you have enough energy to tackle another part of the house take the paint chips you want to use and put them on your sofa leaving any cushions you have in place. If the colour you have chosen for the next space in your house would work as a cushion in your living room then your paint colours will have a sense of flow.

Doesn't this make sense and remove a little stress?  Wish I could give credit for the tip but I was surfing the web yesterday and this little bit of info has stuck with. I have tried to back track but no luck.
