Red Red Red

Lois Butler - Saturday, August 20, 2016

Just a reminder to all of you to come and enjoy Pointe-Claire Village Day.  There's lots going on  - check out my Facebook link for more details.  Also, hot off the press is this wonderful red dresser.

I asked my husband what colour should I paint this piece and as you can see his answer was red (BTW his answer is always red when I ask the question). I think his choice was the right one.  I have antiqued the red with our new black antiquing wax. The schedule for fall classes is coming soon. Keep checking.

You Snooze, You Loose

Lois Butler - Friday, April 22, 2016

This spring at Lois Butler's is proving to be a excellent example of "if you snooze, you loose".  So many of the wonderful new products and consignment items that have arrived, are snapped up almost as soon as they come in the door.  We don't expect this vanity and mirror to last long.

This cherry wood server has a matching buffet - presently in our front window.

In regard to the consignment furniture we are always accepting new pieces.  Send pictures of your items to consignment@loisbutler.com.   Don't assume your pieces have no value if family members don't want them.  Many people are doing our painting classes and up-cycling older furniture.  Maybe doing one of our Beginner Paint Classes and changing the look of your furniture could be a great option for you.

Here are a few more of our recent pieces.

On the more rustic side we have been enjoying this "mousehole" cupboard and the reproduction pine drop leaf table would be a very versatile piece in most settings.  The legs are painted and in excellent condition but maybe applying a coat of our eco-friendly APC Paint would be the perfect finishing touch for your home.  We have small jars of paint, just the right size for this type of project.

Also, we have a great selection of scarves, jewelry, new gift items and of course, our fabulous selection of consignment furniture.
